Students with undergraduate degrees in closely-related fields such as
chemistry, physics, mathematics, biological sciences or another engineering
discipline are also invited to apply for admission to our graduate program. Such
applications are evaluated on an individual basis, and specific plans of study
are developed for each student. These study plans typically include an
additional 10-15 semester credit hours of undergraduate courses in Chemical
Engineering. Usually, we have several students with undergraduate degrees in
mechanical engineering, chemistry or physics in our graduate program, and they
have had good success.
The application deadline for applying in the Fall semester is
February 1 and the deadline for applying in the Spring semester is
August 1. Applicants will be notified by email and in writing upon receipt
of their application, and they will be informed of any missing items, which
